Flood Relief and Rehabilitation Program
Severe floods devastated around 21 villages under Achalpara and Batahidia Gaon Panchayats, leaving people and their cattle struggling for survival. The affected communities faced acute shortages of food, fodder, and drinking water, forcing many to take shelter on highlands and river embankments in temporary huts. With the support of local volunteers, we conducted a rapid assessment to understand their immediate needs and challenges. Backed by Ashraya Hastha Trust, we distributed cooked food and bottled water for five consecutive days, reaching more than 5,100 flood-affected individuals. This timely intervention provided critical relief and restored hope among vulnerable families during their most difficult times.
