About Us
Manab Kalyan
Our work is vital in empowering rural communities with health education, improving maternal and adolescent health, and building sustainable systems for a healthier, self-reliant future.
Manab Kalyan, founded in 2007 by a group of passionate youth, emerged in West Darrang, Assam, to support poor and vulnerable villagers severely affected by widespread cancer cases. The alarming rise in cancer-related deaths inspired the team to take action by conducting health studies, organizing free cancer detection camps with B. Baruah Cancer Institute, and spreading awareness through community meetings. Over time, Manab Kalyan expanded its focus to include maternal and child health, livelihood development, and overall community well-being. Today, the organization continues to empower rural communities through health education, awareness programs, and sustainable development initiatives, striving for a healthier and more resilient society.
